FAQ

Q: Do you allow pets?

We have 2 pet-friendly units. One is a Queen Room, the other one a Twin Room. Well-behaved pets are very welcome including service animals. The pets are only allowed in the rooms and are not allowed to be kept in vehicles overnight or restrained outside overnight. However, we ask that pets are not left unattended in the rooms. We do not cap the number of pets per room, however, we may increase the pet service fee for longer stays due to the additional daily cleaning requirement if you have 3 or more pets.

We provide one dog bed per booking, food & water bowls and dog treats. We also have a small outdoor pet area at the back of the property where your dog can stretch its legs. A doggy waste bin is provided as well. We ask that all pets are kept on a leash in the garden and the rest of the property out of courtesy towards other guests. There is a lovely dog park at Palmwoods and Woombye is a great leisurely 15-minute stroll (or if your dog is a runner, you may get there in 7 minutes!).

All pet bookings attract a pet service fee of $50 per stay for additional cleaning and sanitisation of the room.

Q: Can I bring my cat?

Yes, you can. While most pets are indeed dogs, we also allow cats. In fact, we do not have restrictions on type, size or number of pets. We have had cats, birds and guinea pigs stay with us. The pet service fee applies to all pet bookings.

Q: Do you have a restaurant?

We do not have a restaurant on site, however there is a vast selection of great dining in/out eateries, cafes and an local pub, within walking distance. You won’t go hungry here!

In Woombye you will find Kimnat’s, Frankie’s Woombye, Grounded, Margherita Pizzeria, Woombye Seafood and, of course, the famous Woombye Pub. Not much further, Palmwoods has a few great dining options like Rick’s Garage and the Palmwoods Hotel. Nambour is riddled with eateries, our favourites are Siya’s Kitchen and the local RSL, where you will no doubt find the right thing for your tastebuds.

If you feel like being the master chef yourself, head down to the local Woombye Butcher and Bakery to whip up a feast on the BBQ, grab your drinks and salads at the local IGA Supermarket and maybe a bottle of wine at the Woombye Pub Bottle Shop. Oh, and if you run out of pet food or treats, Woombye Rural Supplies can help with that, too!

Q: Can I please reserve a downstairs room?

12 of our 16 units are downstairs, they have a private patio. We have 2 Family Rooms and 2 Twin Rooms located upstairs, which have a balcony. If you require a downstairs unit, please ensure you let us know at time of booking.

Q: Do you have free parking?

We provide one designated undercover parking spot for each room. Additional vehicles can be parked on Pine Grove Road or on the property subject to availability, please speak to us if you have more than one vehicle per room booked.

Higher vehicles such as vans or motorhomes can be parked on Pine Grove Road with walkway access to the Motel. If you have a trailer, please contact us as we may be able to assist with trailer parking subject to availability at the time.

Q: Why is it cheaper to book direct?

Online Agents such as booking.com, Agoda, Expedia and the like charge upwards of 15% commission on each booking. This commission goes overseas and does not support the Australian economy or Australian businesses. Therefore we have opted to add these commissions on top of our direct rates. Our direct rates apply to bookings made on this website only, as well as by calling us direct on (07) 5442 1666Most accommodation providers offer cheaper rates for direct bookings. We recommend using online agent sites as a research tool to find where you would like to stay and then contact the property directly.

Q: I can see on the map that you are on a busy road. Is it noisy?

Most guests are surprised that it actually isn’t. Our beautiful glass doors are made of laminated safety glass giving you a very similar noise comfort level as double glazed windows. In addition to this, our blockout curtains assist with reducing any other noise to a minimum during the night and on all roads, traffic is very minimal in the evenings and at night.

Q: Do you have a heated pool?

Our saltwater pool is not heated, however, it does get a lot of morning/afternoon sun and is usually wonderfully refreshing.
