If you’re into fun runs, you shouldn’t miss the worldwide phenomenon of The Color Run.
So start fixing your schedule and calling out your mates, then head to Sunshine Coast Stadium on October 11, 2015 for an exciting and ecstatic experience of a lifetime.
Hailed as the happiest 5k in the planet, The Color Run will start the cool run at 9 in the morning. Participants can run, crawl, walk, jog, hop, and dance, but they sure cannot hide. They’ll all turn into wet zones as they pass through the colour zones until they reach the finish line. There, a Finish Festival will be waiting for them along with the DJs, funky music, and energetic party. Each runner will receive a colour packet which will be used to get on stage for the Color Throw.
The colours in this event are all 100% natural, food dyed, and food grade cornstarch making them safe for everyone. But as precautions, runners are advised to bring bandanas and goggles.
Are you a non-runner who wish to join the fun but aren’t sure if you can? We got the answer. The Color Run is open for runners and non-runners alike. Its focus is fun and laughter among your peers so you can run, roll, hop, walk, and even tumble as you reach the finish line. It doesn’t even have a time limit, but if you wish to monitor your progress, you are always free to do so.
Tickets are still available from its website. Prices are $66.00 for people 16 years old and above, $56.00 per head for groups with at least four members, $185.00 for families comprising of two adults and two kids, and there’s no charge at all for children five years and below.
