Horizon Festival 2021

Heading to the Horizon Festival on the Sunshine Coast?

If not, you probably haven’t seen the huge 10-day program in store.

Horizon Festival, held annually on the Sunshine Coast, is the region’s leading multi-arts festival, celebrating art, performance, heritage and the beauty of the Sunshine Coast.

The festival has been a major annual Sunshine Coast event since 2016, and has only grown in size and scale!

This year, it’s back and not short of live entertainment, inspiring workshops, visual art displays and loads more for festival lovers and anyone looking for the perfect excuse to head to the Sunshine Coast this winter.

Most of the program is FREE, so there’s no excuse for missing it!

Horizon Festival Program

Horizon Festival brings together local, regional and global artists across a 10-day, a 10-night program that’s packed with something for everyone to see, do and enjoy.

Performances, events and workshops are held all over the Sunshine Coast, all aiming to entertain, inspire and showcase the talent and beauty the region has to offer.

There are too many things on the program to list (which is a good thing!) but highlights you’ll not want to miss include the Horizon Festival Opening Ceremony – featuring Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe, Jinibara Dance Troupe, First Voices Choir and more.

There will be non-stop live performances in the Wonderland Spiegeltent, located at Cotton Tree Park, including multiple shows by disco cabaret outfit Briefs Factory and circus group Circus Wonderland.

Not only that but there will also be multiple live beach dance performances across the coast by Gogi Dance Collective, as well as an unmissable interactive portrait gallery – featuring First Nations artist Jandamarra Cadd – in Nambour.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
