Do you decide to visit the Sunshine Coast on ANZAC Day? Join the 2023 ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Nambour, held by the RSL Nambour Sub Branch, in honour of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served in or given their lives in conflicts since World War I.
Veterans gather at Ann Street, in front of the RSL Club, around 5:15 am. The march to the Wall of Remembrance at Quota Memorial Park begins at 5:28 am. By 5:30 am, community members will gather at the park.
The main ANZAC Day ceremony will feature the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and observing a minute’s silence, as is customary for ANZAC Day celebrations.
Participate in the march by lining the street or gathering outside Quota Memorial Park. At 8:30 am, everyone must gather in Howard Street. At 8:55 am, start the march via Ann Street to Quota Memorial Park, where the memorial service will be. The service begins at 9:00 am.
